Oregon Senate Wont Increase Timber Production on State Lands


In a vote last week the Oregon Senate chose not to bring Bill 464 to the floor. The bill which would have required that the state maximize timber production in Tillamook State Forest posed a significant threat to several important salmon and steelhead bearing streams in the region.
