The Kamchatka Steelhead Project

Check out this cool trailer from the folks at the conservation angler. They've been studying steelhead on the Kamchatka peninsula in collaboration with biologists from Moscow State University to understand patterns of abundance and diversity in steelhead on the Kamchatka peninsula. Steelhead are listed under the Russian redbook and the rivers of the Kamchatka peninsula represent unique strongholds for anadromous O.mykiss. Take a look at this preliminary report from the 2010 season and a video. They're looking for anglers for the 2011 season.
