Good News for John Day Steelhead

A federal Judge ruled this week that grazing in the Malheur National Forest violates the endangered species act in allowing livestock to damage critical habitat for threatened summer steelhead. The decision should make way for significant improvements in spawning and rearing areas within the National Forest and is a big win for the future of the John Day system.
